My Story

I’ve been where your daughter is.

As a former collegiate athlete and now a coach for girl athletes, I’ve seen it all—on and off the court. The nerves that make your stomach twist before a big game. The spiral of self-doubt after a mistake. The endless pressure to perform perfectly, paired with the overwhelming fear of letting people down.

When I was growing up, I loved sports. I played everything—soccer, softball, basketball—you name it. But basketball stole my heart, and I worked tirelessly to be the best. I practiced in the driveway, in the cold, in the heat, anytime I could, because I had big goals.

But no amount of physical training could prepare me for the mental side of the game. I had no idea how to handle the pressure, recover from mistakes, or quiet the voice in my head saying, “You’re not good enough.” I tied my worth to how many points I scored or how perfectly I played, and when I fell short, I would lose confidence.

I didn’t learn how to train my mind until much later in life. By then, I couldn’t help but wonder how much better I could’ve been if I’d known these skills earlier—not just in sports, but in life.

When I became a coach, I saw the same struggles in my athletes. I saw their confidence crumble after mistakes, fear of failing, and the relentless pressure they put on themselves to be perfect. I saw their moms wanting to help but not knowing how.

That’s why I created Girl Athlete Mindset.

I’m here to teach girl athletes the skills I wish I had when I was their age—and the tools I wish my mom knew about too. Together, we’ll build their confidence, teach them how to manage pressure, and help them thrive not just in sports but in every area of life.

Because every girl athlete deserves to believe in herself and play with confidence—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.
